American Marine Services Group operates tug boats around the U.S. Amergent Techs is honored to assist them in developing their maritime security program, including security assessments and plans for their fleet, and maritime vessel security officer training for their Vessel Security Officers. American Marine is dedicated to ensuring their customer’s projects experience no delays, so an Amergent Techs professional deployed with each of their tugs to conduct the training. By rotating American Marine crewmembers to receive their training the tugs kept working and all assessments, plans, and training sessions were completed ahead of schedule.

The Port of Los Angeles is hosting TallShips LA, part of the American Sail Training Associations, "Tall Ships Challenge 2005," August 11-14, 2005. This popular event includes a spectacular "sail in" parade, public day sails, ship viewing and maritime activities.  More than a dozen traditionally-rigged sailing vessels from all over the world will visit the Port as part of the festivities which attracted a quarter of a million visitors in years past.  Amergent Techs is there to assist the port with conducting a comprehensive security assessment, installing a security plan, and conducting an exercise with key port personnel.
